Synertex LLC is seeking a Logistics Planner/Support Officer to support the Headquarters, Pacific Air Forces (HQ PACAF) as a logistics planner for specific compartmentalized and non-compartmentalized contingency plans and exercise requirements as they pertain to operations within the INDOPACOM area of operations.
The Logistics Support Officer will possess a functional understanding of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP) and assist in planning, logistics estimates, concepts of support, and coordination with joint service component commands and subordinate headquarters.

PACAF Logistics Planner/Support Officer
Responsibilities
- Will provide detailed analysis to integrate those current assets that reside within theater and recommend additional forces as required for OPLAN development.
- Will possess detailed knowledge of all facets of sustainment and its integration to develop detailed concepts commensurate with presentation at the MAJCOM and COCOM levels. Additionally, relate those concepts into detailed executable plans and create TPFDD to support mobilization of assets. Shall lead various workgroups pursuant to OPLAN development and be expected to lead peers and military superiors in analysis and military decision making.
- May be required to travel to various OCONUS/CONUS locations to support emerging mission requirements. Will quantify life support requirements and translate these into estimates for submission to engineering planners. May be required to support numerous simultaneous NH requirements and ensure that personnel are available to provide adequate representation to the command during times of high OPTEMPO.
- Will plan/coordinate logistics support for OPLANS and exercises affecting the current and long-range operations. Prepares logistics estimates and other products to provide required logistics supply, service, and other life support for OPLAN development.
- Will attend, participate, and support the planning and execution of conferences and exercises in support of JCS and USINDOPACOM Operational planning. Possesses a functional understanding of the JOPES and monitor OPLAN/exercise data requirements necessary to formulate and submit TPFDD information, meeting applicable deadlines.
- Provide advice, recommendations, and briefings to staff principals, agency chiefs, and external organizations on OPLAN and exercise design activities.
- Assist PACAF to determine the best possible logistics solutions to support OPLANS to minimize costs and meet required timelines.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above preferred.
- 12 minimum years of experience required.
- Working knowledge of logistics planning with a minimum of 3 years of operational experience (highly desired).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a MAJCOM or higher-level command staff (highly desirable).
- Experience with exercise-planning systems such as JOPES, DCAPES, JTIMS, ARMS, CAF-SIPT, and/or C2IE (highly desired).
- Possesses strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Possesses excellent organizational abilities and a self-starting personality.
- Able to work and lead in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.
- Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office applications.
- Possesses good analytical skills and be able to operate in a demanding environment while executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- At least 10 years’ rated experience in fighter/bomber aircraft is highly desired (i.e., F-15C/E, F-16, A-10, F-18, E/A-18, F-22, F-35, B-52, B-1, B-2, etc…), or ISR aircraft (i.e. U-2, RQ-1, RQ-4, MQ-9, RQ-170), or Air Battle Management (I.e. E-2, E-3, E-8, AOC, JTAC, CCT, etc…).
- Familiarity with Nellis AFB operations, USAF Warfare Center organizations, and Nevada Test & Training Range (NTTR) infrastructure (highly desired).
- Recent (within last 5 years) experience with tactical aircraft operations and exercise and experiment coordination and execution (highly desired).
- Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) or operation contingency planning experience (highly desired).
- Strong background in Special Access Programs (highly desired).
- STO Planning experience (highly desired).
- USAF Weapons Instructor Course or Navy Top Gun graduate (highly desired).
- Be familiar with military experimentation experience (desired).
- Have operational knowledge of the Joint Operational Planning and Execution System. Construct a plan, review steps for authorization and identify gaps within the secure IJSTO parameters towards eventual execution (desired).
- Have successfully completed the IJSTO Planning and Decision Aide System users’ course (desired).
