Synertex LLC is seeking a Operations Planner to support the Headquarters, Pacific Air Forces (HQ PACAF) by planning operations and logistics, which requires a thorough analysis of exercise objectives & tasks, PACAF units’ capabilities, deployment requirements, forward operating location(s) assessments, and resource constraints. Typical assignments require developing detailed plans, milestones, documents, and maintaining budgets; organizing and managing multi- functional USAF, Joint and Combined teams; responding to requests for information; and developing options, recommendations, and analysis.
The NH Operations Planner will advise and assist PACAF’s operational and strategic planners. Assist in the development of current and future planning documents IAW the Joint Operation, Planning and Execution System (JOPES). Coordinate with Service components, higher headquarters (HHQ), and coalition partners. Assist with the planning guidance for the Global Force Management (GFM) forces requested or attached to PACAF in the INDOPACOM AOR.

Responsibilities
- The Operations Planner will provide consulting in all aspects of operations planning for PACAF to include basing, force flow and integration into combined operations.
- Assist in the development and coordination of Chairman, Joint Chief of Staff (CJCS) directed deliberate plans during steady-state operations.
- Assist in deliberate and crisis response planning for the effective deployment of INDOPACOM theater response forces.
- Assist in the planning and sustainment of all aspects of Time-Phase Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) support for USPACAF during current and future contingency and steady state operations to include exercise planning and execution.
- Assist in the development of contingency requirements based on current operations.
- Review and coordinate current and future development of theater and service component OPLANS, CONPLANS, exercise plans, AF instructions, and joint publications. Make recommendations for changes/updates as required/requested.
- Assist in the conduct of theater level STRAT/TET/MAAP processes resulting in the development of on the shelf Air Tasking Orders and/or Air Battle Plans.
- Assist in the development of joint and coalition integration into C2 plans for future and contingency plans.
- Support planning and execution of CJCS, Combatant Command (COCOM), USPACAF, and other component exercises in the INDOPACOM AOR.
- Assist in the development of exercise constructs to include concept development, training audience, training and main exercise objectives, joint exercise control group operations, overall execution, and after-action review.
- Organize and conduct meetings, conferences briefings, and site surveys in support of CJCS and other command exercises.
- Develop and present exercise-related briefings to command leadership.
- Coordinate with HHQ, host nation partners and other commands in the development and execution of CJCS exercises.
- Deploy in support of CJCS, COCOM, PACAF and other component exercises as required by exercise or requested by the COR.
- Develop and publish formal exercise after-action reports in coordination with the PACAF Staff.
- Attend/participate in all NH exercise conferences and VTCs. Conduct all administrative requirements to facilitate exercise planning, briefs, and travel.
- Serve as subject matter expert for NH exercises with military service component and joint partners.
- Develop and manage long range exercise schedules with ACC, USAFWC, and HAF.
- Review current operations, operational plans, AF instructions, and joint publications with the purpose of collating data and information.
- Perform access verification of all visitors and ensure current occupants are cognizant of each visitor's access prior to allowing entrance into the SAPF according to local procedures.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above preferred.
- 14 minimum years of experience required.
- At least 10 years’ rated experience in fighter/bomber aircraft is highly desired (i.e., F-15C/E, F-16, A-10, F-18, E/A-18, F-22, F-35, B-52, B-1, B-2, etc…), or ISR aircraft (i.e. U-2, RQ-1, RQ-4, MQ-9, RQ-170), or Air Battle Management (I.e. E-2, E-3, E-8, AOC, JTAC, CCT, etc…).
- Familiarity with Nellis AFB operations, USAF Warfare Center organizations, and Nevada Test & Training Range (NTTR) infrastructure (highly desired).
- Recent (within last 5 years) experience with tactical aircraft operations and exercise and experiment coordination and execution (highly desired).
- Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) or operation contingency planning experience (highly desired).
- Strong background in Special Access Programs (highly desired).
- STO Planning experience (highly desired).
- USAF Weapons Instructor Course or Navy Top Gun graduate (highly desired).
- Be familiar with military experimentation experience (desired).
- Have operational knowledge of the Joint Operational Planning and Execution System. Construct a plan, review steps for authorization and identify gaps within the secure IJSTO parameters towards eventual execution (desired).
- Have successfully completed the IJSTO Planning and Decision Aide System users’ course (desired).
